Grounds For Divorce (ver 5) - Elbow

Grounds For Divorce
For the verses look at the tabs - it's basically Dm all the way through the verses
with your fourth finger on the 3rd fret of the D string every 3rd beat of 4 - this
is then simulated by the bass through the 2nd verse so if you're playing it on
your own just do the same for that 2nd verse - the other chords listed for the
chorus were nonsense so I thought I would try and help out...

Dm
Mondays is for drinking to the seldom seen kid
Dm
I've been working on a cocktail called Grounds for Divorce

Whoah
Dm C G
Polishing a compass that I hold in my sleep
Dm

Dm C G

There's a hole in my neighbourhood down which of late I cannot help but fall
Bb Am Dm Dm
There's a hole in my neighbourhood down which of late I cannot help but fall

(The next section is power chords - easy to work out, or look at all the other tabs)

And it does you no good

Bb Am Dm Gm

About the artist behind Grounds For Divorce:

Elbow are an English band from Manchester, who have been active from the late 1990s.

Acclaimed for their innovative sound and frontman Guy Garvey's candid, evocative lyrics, Elbow has received vast critical acclaim and been endorsed by major artists Blur, R.E.M. and U2. The Velvet Underground's co-founder John Cale selected Elbow's "Switching Off" as one of his eight chosen records on the BBC's "Desert Island Discs" radio programme.[1] Commercial success, however, has yet to match Elbow's critical acclaim and status among fans.
