Chords used are: A (barre chord) (shown as a cause im lazy. F#m (barre chord)(shown as f cause im lazy... This is only the acoustic guitar, not the ukelele that plays all the riffs and cool hawaii sounds. You play the song like this: pick the e string with your thumb, and use the rest of your finger to strum the 5 other strings. so you get like a 1-2 rhythem going on here (base-rest of the strings that is) after 8 strums (8x 1-2) you switch chords. but just play with the music and that thing will explain itself. to get the real sound try muting the strings when you strum (not when you pick the fat E) Intro: A F#m Heres to now x4 A Actually, I was thinking Said everything out loud F 'Cause apricot seeds carry arsenic That we dont worry about A Sitting on your doorstep Waiting for you to come home or come out F Well apple seeds have cyanide That we dont care about A F So heres to now, Heres to now A Buildings built sturdy Rolled up and every time F And as bees get aged and the bellies get to sag Well the people fall right out A Pride is really falling Im proud that Im not proud F And as the people get aged and the bellies get sagged Well their instincts all fall out A F Heres to now, Heres to now A F Heres to now, Heres to now A The bus boy's younger brother When he drinks he talks too much F He seemed normal to me But at quarter to three Well I could see he was a little bit touched A Actually, I was thinking Said everything out loud F 'Cause apricot seeds carry arsenic That we dont care about A F Heres to now, Heres to now A F Heres to now, Heres to now A Actually, I was thinking Said everything out loud F Well actually I was thinking A So heres to right now F Heres to right now A Heres to now A Heres to now Heres to now
About the artist behind Heres To Now:
Isaac Brock has since revealed that Edgar Graham was "a fiction thing that [Brock] started a while back to eliminate [himself] from the band," to escape having to do interviews.[1] One bit of evidence that had previously suggested that story was false: Modest Mouse's 1996 EP The Fruit That Ate Itself was credited to having been under the production company Ugly Casanova, which suggested it was a name Brock made up to retain creative control and publishing rights to his music while under a major label. The band lineup now consists of Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse), Tim Rutili (Califone, Red Red Meat), Pall Jenkins (The Black Heart Procession), John Orth (Holopaw), and Brian Deck.
Two tracks released by Ugly Casanova, "Baby's Clean Conscience" and "Parasites", appear earlier as unreleased demos of Modest Mouse in the Paracite Sessions purportedly recorded in 1993 at Calvin Johnson's Dub Narcotic Studio. In 1997 the single To Roads To Go was released [1] on the apparently now defunct Magic Eye Records, however, this is likely considered an entirely different incarnation of Ugly Casanova by Brock et al.
It seems that another release is unlikely, owing to contract issues between Modest Mouse's label, Epic Records, and the contract Brock signed with Sub Pop Records to produce the record.
