La la la la la la, La la la la la la

C#M7 F#11 BM7 G#7sus-G#7
My cherie amour, lovely as a summer day
     C#M7 F#11 BM7 G#7sus-G#7
My cherie amour, distant as the milky way
     F#M7 G#7sus G#7 B9
My cherie amour, pretty little one that I adore
A#7 D#7
You're the only girl my heart beats for
G#7 C#6 G#7#5
How I wish that you were mine

(same as 1st verse)
In a cafe or sometimes on a crowded street
I've been near you, but you never noticed me
My cherie amour, won't you tell me how could you ignore
That behind that little smile I wore
How I wish that you were mine

(same as intro but go up 1 fret)
La la la la la la, La la la la la la
La la la la la la, La la la la la la

D#M7 G11 C#M7 A7sus-A7
Maybe someday, you'll see my face among the crowd
     D#M7 G11 C#M7 A7sus-A7
Maybe someday, I'll share your little distant cloud
       GM7 A7sus C9
Oh, cherie amour, pretty little one that I adore
B7 E7
You're the only girl my heart beats for
A D6
How I wish that you were mine

(same as intro)
La la la la la la, La la la la la la
La la la la la la, La la la la la la

Stevie Wonder (born Stevland Hardaway Judkins on May 13, 1950, name later changed to Stevland Hardaway Morris)[1] is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer. He has also been awarded the Polar Music Prize.

Blind from infancy, Wonder signed with Motown Records as a pre-adolescent at age twelve, and continues to perform and record for the label to this day. He has nine U.S. number-one hits to his name and album sales totaling more than 100 million units. Wonder has recorded several critically acclaimed albums and hit singles, and writes and produces songs for many of his label mates and outside artists as well. A multi-instrumentalist, Wonder plays the piano, synthesizer, harmonica, congas, drums, bongos, organ, melodica, and clarinet. In his early career, he was best known for his harmonica work, but today he is better known for his keyboard skills.
