Intro:
Bm7add4-->Em7-->Em7/A-->D6-->Bm7add4-->Em7-->Em7/A-->D

Verse:
Bm7add4       Em7            Em7/A                   D
  I know a girl she puts the color inside of my world.

    Bm7add4              Em7                    Em7/A                    D
But she's just like a maze, where all of the walls all continually change.

Em7  D  Bm7add4         Em7                     Em7/A                     D6
    And I've done all I can to stand on her steps with my heart in my hand.

Em7     Bm7add4         Em7                Em7/A                D
    Now I'm starting to see, maybe its got nothing to do with me.

Chorus:

Bm7add4        Em7       Em7/A   D
Fathers be good to your daugh-ters.

Bm7add4           E7           Em7/A   D6
Daughters will love like you do.

Bm7add4       Em7          Em7/A           D
Girls become lovers, who turn into mothers

    Bm7add4     Em7           Em7/A     D6
So, mothers be good to your daughters too.

Bm-->Em7-->Em7/A-->D-->Em7-->D/F#

Bm                  Em7
Oooh, you see that skin?

             Em7/A                   D
It's the same she's been standing in...

Em7  D/F#      Bm               Em7                     Em7/A
    since the day, she saw him walking away, now she's left...

                         D       Em7
cleaning up the mess he made.

D/F#
So
(Chorus)

D9    Gm/D          D        A7/D                          Bm7add4
  Boys you can break, you'll find out how much they can take.

                   Em7                  D/F#                Gm11
Boys will be strong, and boys soldier on but boys would be gone without

                A13
warmth from a woman's good, good heart.

Bm7add4-->Em7-->Em7/A-->D-->Bm7add4-->Em7-->Em7/A-->D

              Bm7add4  Em7               Em7/A
On behalf of every man, looking out for every girl

D           Bm7add4      E7            Em7/A
you are the god and the weight of her world.

D
So...(chorus)

About the artist behind Daughters Chords:

John Clayton Mayer (surname pronunciation: /ˈmeɪ.jɜr/[1]) (born October 16, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter. Originally from Connecticut, he attended Berklee College of Music before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1998, where he refined his skills and gained a following. His first two studio albums, Room for Squares and Heavier Things, did well commercially, achieving multi-platinum status. In 2003, he won a Best Male Pop Vocal Performance Grammy for "Your Body Is a Wonderland".

Mayer began his career performing mainly acoustic rock and pop, but gradually began a transition towards the blues genre in 2005 by collaborating with renowned blues artists such as B. B. King and Eric Clapton, and by forming the John Mayer Trio. The blues influence can be heard on his album Continuum, released in September 2006. At the 49th Annual Grammy Awards in 2007 Mayer won Best Pop Vocal Album for Continuum and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Waiting on the World to Change". Mayer's career pursuits have extended to stand-up comedy, design, and writing; he has written pieces for magazines, most notably for Esquire. He is also involved in philanthropic activities through his "Back to You" fund and his concern over global warming.
