Pop A Top Chords
                    POP A TOP

G C D G
Pop a top again I've just got time for one more round
              C D
Set 'em up my friend, then I'll be gone
            Am C G
And you can let some other fool sit down.

G C D G
I'd like for you to listen to a joke I heard today
                      C
>From a woman who said she was through
    D G C
And calmly walked away, I tried to smile and did awhile
       D G C
But it felt so outta place, did you ever hear of a clown with teardrops
D G
streaming down his face.

                                          CHORUS
G C D G
Pop a top again I think I'll have another round
              C D
Set 'em up my friend, then I'll be gone
            Am C G
And you can let some other fool sit down.

                     (instrumental)

G C D G
Home for me its misery and here I'm wasting time
                        C
Saw a row of fools on a row of stools
     D G
It's not what's on my mind
                 C D G
But then you see her leaving me it's not what I prefer
G C D G
So it's either here just drinking beer or home remembering her.

                            (repeat chorus)

About the artist behind Pop A Top Chords:

Alan Eugene Jackson (born 17 October 1958 in Newnan, Georgia) is an American country singer-songwriter who has sold over 40 million records. He was influenced by the new traditional country of the 1980s, and he was one of the most popular country singers of the 1990s, blending both honky tonk and mainstream country sounds and penning many of his own hits. His success continued into the 2000s and his music became increasingly counterposed with that of more mainstream country acts that were moving toward a more pop music sound. He is the recipient and nominee of multiple awards. He was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2001.
