Slow Dancing In A Burning Room (ver 4) - John Mayer

Slow Dancing In A Burning Room
First tab! Chords are easy and sound great (and the lyrics are right as well)

Capo 4
Standard Tuning

[Intro]

Am F C x4

[Verse]

         Am
It's not silly little moment
             F C
It's not the storm before the calm
            Am
This is the deep and dying breath of
                          F C
This love that we've been working on
              Am
Can't seem to hold you like I want to
         F C
So I can feel you in my arms
         Am
Nobody's gonna come and save you
                      F C
We've pulled too many false alarms

[Chorus]

            G
We're going down
               Am F
And you can see it too
            G
We're going down
        Am F
And you know that we're doomed
       Am F C
My dear we're slow dancing in a burning room

Am F C x2

[Verse]

          Am
I was the one you always dreamed of
             F C
You were the one I tried to draw
             Am
How dare you say it's nothing to me
                      F C
Baby, you're the only light I ever saw
           Am
I make the most of all the sadness
            F C
You'll be a bitch because you can
           Am
You try to hit me just to hurt me

So you leave me feeling dirty
          F C
Cause you can't understand

[Chorus]

            G
We're going down
               Am F
And you can see it too
            G
We're going down
        Am F
And you know that we're doomed
       Am F C
My dear we're slow dancing in a burning room

Am F C x2

   Am F C
Go cry about it, why don't you? x3

       Am F C
My dear we're slow dancing in a burning room

Am F C x4
                         Am
Don't you think we oughta know by now?
                           F C
Don't you think we shoulda learned somehow?

Those two lines repeat and the song fades out so do what you want with the ending!
Like I said, this is my first tab so it may be a little rough but it sounds great
to me and I hope this helps! John Mayer songs are typically difficult to play, so
I hope this helps you beginners out there! Thanks xoxo
