La Vie En Rose Chords
La Vie En Rose
Louis Armstrong

D, D,

F F Am7
Hold me close and hold me fast,
     Am7 Bb
This magic spell you cast,
     Bb Em7 C7
This is La Vie En Rose
Gm Gm C7
When you kiss me Heaven sighs,
    C7 Gm
And though I close my eyes,
  Em7 Bb F Em7 C7
I see La Vie En Rose
F F Am7
When you press me to your heart,
    Am7 Gm
I'm in a world apart,
  Gm Bb Bb
A world where roses bloom

C7 C7 Gm F F
And when you speak, angels sing from above
Gm Gm Am7 /
Every day words seem to turn into love songs

F F Am7
Give your heart and soul to me,
    Am7 Bb
And life will always be,
C7 Em7 F Am7 Em7 C7
  La Vie En Rose

F F Am7
Give your heart and soul to me,
    Am7 Bb
And life will always be,
C7 Gm F F
  La Vie En Rose

This is just my version; it probably wouldn't be considered traditional jazz
chords. I like to use the following picking pattern throughout the whole song:

(With D chord for example)
E --2-----------|
B --3-----------|
G --------3-----|
D -----0-----0--|
A --------------|
E --------------|

I played F#m7 as (x04222)
Please comment with questions or suggestions. :) ( I've uploaded an mp3 of this
version for picking pattern reference.)

About the artist behind La Vie En Rose Chords:

Louis[1] Armstrong[2] (4 August 1901[3] – July 6, 1971), nicknamed Satchmo[4] and Pops, was an American jazz trumpeter and singer.

Armstrong was a charismatic, innovative performer whose improvised soloing was the main influence for a fundamental change in jazz, shifting its focus from collective improvisation to the solo player and improvised soloing. One of the most famous jazz musicians of the 20th century, he was first known as a cornet player, then as a trumpet player, and toward the end of his career he was best known as a vocalist and became one of the most influential jazz singers.
