C/G -3X201X

G Gmaj7 C/G
These four walls of Farnworth
G Gmaj7 C/G
Are closin' in on me
G Gmaj7 C/G
My final meal is over
G Gmaj7 C/G
They're gonna to set me free
      C G
I can feel the fires burning
       C G
As the devil guards my door
         C Am
I hit my knees in search of Jesus
     C D G
On a cold jailhouse floor

             G Gmaj7 C/G
Lord now I'm singin'
              G Gmaj7 C/G
Get me out of here
          C
I see the preacher's eyes
      G/B
As my daughter cries
          Am D
When they strap me in this chair
                G Gmaj7 C
Lord I hope she forgives me
    G Gmaj7 C
For livin' my life this way
G
Tonight I'll ride the lightning
      D G Gmaj7 C/G
To my final judgement day

G Gmaj7 C/G
Every life owes a death
G Gmaj7 C/G
That's what the Bible says
G Gmaj7 C/G
I owe mine to this state
G Gmaj7 C/G
For shootin' that boy to death
C G
A liquor store attendant
       C G
He was reachin' for his gun
        C Am
Now his mama sits there smilin'
       C D G
As the boss yells, Roll on one

            G Gmaj7 C
And now I'm singin'
              G Gmaj7 C
Get me out of here
          C
I see the preacher's eyes
      G/B
As my daughter cries
          Am D
When they strap me in this chair
           G Gmaj7 C
I hope she forgives me
    G Gmaj7 C
For leavin' her this way
G
Tonight I'll ride the lightining
      D C
To my final resting place

Bm C
A hungry blue-eyed baby cryin'
        G
Made me rob that store
Bm C
And as that boy lay there dyin'
             G
I dropped my pistol on the floor
         C
Yeah I'd take it all back
                    G/B
But there's nothin' I can do
                Am
They've covered my face
                G/B
And the order's gone through
            C
As the boss yells, Roll on two

        G Gmaj7 C
Now I'm flyin'
              G Gmaj7 C
up and out of here
  C G/B
I close my eyes and slowly rise
       Am D
Let my body leave this chair
                G Gmaj7 C
Lord I hope you forgive me
    G Gmaj7 C
For livin' my life this way
G
Tonight I ride the lightning
      D C
To my final resting place

G Gmaj7 C/G
These four walls of Farnworth
G Gmaj7 C/G G
Are closin' in on me
