 C Am
whenever sang my songs
        F G
on the stage on my own
         C Em
whenever said my words
    F G
wishing they would be heard
  Am Em
i saw you smiling at me
         F C
was it real or just my fantasy
         Bb Am
you'd always be there in the corner
     F G
of this tiny little bar

(do chords on the 1st stanza)
my last night here for you
same old songs just once more
my last night here with you
maybe yes, maybe no
i kind of like it your way
how you shyly place your eyes on me
oh, did you ever know
that i had mine on you

CHORUS:
    F
darling so there you are
    C
with the look on your face
    Bb G
as if you're never heard
     C
as of you're never down
                   F
shall i'll be the one for you
                 Em A
who pinches you softly but sure
      F
if frown is shown then
         G F C
i will know that you are no dreamer

INTERLUDE:
C--G--Dm-C--G-Dm--Fm-G;

SOLO:
  Am Em
so let me come to you
  F G
close as i wanna be
  F G
close enough for me
       Am Em
to feel your heart beating fast
     F G
and stay there as i whisper
      C G
how i loved your peaceful eyes on me
       Dm
did you ever know
                C
that i had mine on you

     (do chorus chord pattern)
darling, so share with me
your love if you have enough
your tears if you're holding back
or pain if that's what it is
how can i let you know
i'm more than a dress and the voice
just reach me out then
you will know that you are not dreaming

(repeat chorus)
